宇宙創造的指紋 Fingerprints of Cosmic Creation

宙從何而來?這問題一直是大家心中的謎團,近年,天文學家漸漸在茫茫宇宙中找到答案。天文學家在宇宙中發現微波背景輻射,並且透過研究輻射的特性得知宇宙形成初期的模樣,就如同解讀宇宙創造時的指紋一樣。1989年,天文學家發射COBE衛星成功量度宇宙的背景輻射,成為了宇宙生成的大爆炸學說的有力證據。

2006年的諾貝爾物理學獎,頒發予John Mather和George F. Smoot兩位天文學家,以表揚他們在COBE衛星的重要發現的努力和貢獻。是次講座將為大家介紹本年的諾貝爾物理學獎內容,為大家解讀宇宙創造的指紋。

Where did our universe come from? Perhaps it is one of your questions in mind for years. In recent years, astronomers are getting hope for searching the answer from their observations of the universe. Astronomers the cosmic microwave background radiation, learned from the pattern and figure out how is our universe look like in the beginning, just like reading the fingerprints of cosmic creation. In 1989, astronomers launched the COBE satellite to study the cosmic background, and turned out to be a strong evidence for the Big Bang creation for the universe.

Nobel Prize in Physics 2006, was awarded to John Mather and George Smooth, for their work in COBE and their study of cosmic background. This lecture would talk about the story of this year Nobel Prize and show you the fingerprints of the cosmic creation.
