This is the third lecture of the "New Era of Cosmic Exploration" lecture series, which would focus on how human beings explore the universe, and how do we understand the universe through observations and the stories behind. Below is the outline of the third lecture.

In 1995, astronomers used the Hubble Space Telescope for 10-day exposure to make the first deep field observation, and made a scientific revolution. In a very small field looks empty, over 3000 galaxies were discovered across billions of light years away. Most of them are very ancient galaxies. The observational evidence of the formation and evolution of galaxies tell the stories of the very early universe.
